Set default text in WordPress post editor

Sometimes we need add posts with a particular framework or a piece of text in every post which involves repetition. Now, would not it be great, if wordpress post editor woild have that text every time add new post is clicked. Well, there is a small trick to achieve this. It can be done by editing the wordpress file.

Follow the steps given below.

1. Log in to your wordpress dash board.

2. Mouse over ‘Appreance’ and click on ‘editor’.

3. Click on ‘functions.php’ file.

4. Add following code within the php tags and you are done.

add_filter( 'default_content', 'my_editor_content' );

function my_editor_content( $content ) {

	$content = "This is some custom content I'm adding to the post editor because I hate re-typing it.";

	return $content;
